Category:Electronic engineeringThe website of app developer Linden Labs, a subsidiary of virtual world game company Second Life, has been hacked.
The hack saw the website change its default 'About Us' page to reflect that creator Avril Linden, real name of Linden Labs co-founder Philip Rosedale, is "just like us".
As a result, the homepage said: "Avril Linden is just like you and me, and she's a gamer.
"It's a lonely life at the top, but she's as regular as anyone else.
"Have you ever dreamed of playing a game where you can change the world?
"Well, this is where it happens. We make our games, and you can be in them."
The homepage said users of Second Life should "just sign in with your Second Life ID" and that if they didn't have one they could "create one for free" by filling in a form.
The hackers also changed the Home page, the game Marketplace and the Top Sellers page to show an animation of Philip Rosedale's head floating in front of the Linden dollar sign.
However, the hackers failed to change the Price List or the About page.
The hack happened at 5.23am GMT. The main front page of the website was updated shortly after, saying the hack had been resolved.
Linden Lab has yet to comment on the hack. UNPUBLISHED

Step 1:Download
- Download a Software from the Software Archive.
Step 2:
Install a Software to your XBT-L1000
- Power off your XBT-L1000, then remove the USB disk drive.
- Plug the XBT-L1000 to the power source, then connect the USB disk drive to the XBT-L1000.
- Install Software to your XBT-L1000.
Step 3:
Start the Software
- A Software will be installed on the Windows OS of the XBT-L1000.
- A Software will be loaded into the memory of the XBT-L1000.
- A Software will be installed into the XBT-L1000.
- A Software will be loaded into the USB flash drive.
- An IP address will be allocated to the XBT-L1000.
- A Maintenance for the Software will be activated when the Software is loaded into the memory of the XBT-L1000.
